Schools Out!!

Yay! School is out for the summer. It actually got out last Friday but I haven't had a chance to post about it until now. It is so nice having Paul home, we love seeing him and being able to go do things with him. Last Friday night we got together for a BBQ/pool party with a bunch of our friends to celebrate.

Leila loves jumping on the tramp, she could jump for hours. Leila had been jumping for awhile when she stopped and layed on the grass with me, she turned to me and says, "my legs are tired, I am just taking a break."

Quick trip

This past weekend we had to make a quick trip to Utah. Paul's 97 year old grandma passed away last Wednesday. It was kind of bad timing because this week was Paul's test week, so we drove up on Wednesday (I drove the whole way so Paul could study), the funeral was on Monday and then Paul flew back Monday night. I drove back with Leila on Wednesday. It was good to spend time with our family. I was able to learn a lot about Paul's grandma, she was an amazing women who could do just about anything. As they spoke about all of his grandma's qualities it reminded me of Paul's mom, they are both wonderful women. I also figured out where Leila gets her love for chocolate, don't get me wrong I love chocolate, but Leila really loves it, she could eat it all day long without stopping and so could Paul's grandma. The funeral was really nice and a great celebration of her long life, we are happy knowing she is with her husband and other loved ones now.

Summer is here

Summer has actually been here for several weeks. It is really hot and I am not quite ready for all this heat. I have been really bad about taking pictures lately. We have gone swimming several times and I have not taken a single picture of us at the pool. Last week we went to a pool party/BBQ at one of Paul's professor's home. It was lots of fun and the pool was so nice. I did get some pictures of Leila swimming in our little blow up pool in our backyard. She could spend all day in the pool, whenever we go swimming she hates to get out.

In other news, Leila is Potty trained! Yay, it has been so nice and she is so good about going. She earned a trip to the San Diego Zoo and a chocolate ice cream cone with her daddy!

Sleeping Beauty

I finally got a picture of Leila sleeping in her big girl bed. She continues to be so good about sleeping in her bed and stays in bed until someone comes and gets her. She is becoming such a big girl!
