July 11th

This was our last full day in Utah and the kids had been asking to go to the new children's museum that they had heard about.  It was crazy there, the line was out the door and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes before we got in.  Once inside it didn't seem overly crowded and we had a lot of fun.  The kids loved the little town and the jungle area.  We spent several hours there before the kids were worn out and hungry.  We stopped for lunch at Dickie's BBQ and Greydon was insistent on getting ribs.  I would have told him no but his nice Grandma of course told him yes.

We played for a little bit at Connie's and then had to say our sad goodbyes.  it wasn't too bad because we knew Connie would be coming to visit in less than a month.  We got to my parents house and I had a bunch of things to do so that we would be ready to fly home the next morning.  My dad ended up taking Greydon out for dinner and me, mom, Leila and Asher went to Costco for dinner and bought a new phone for me.  Afterwards my mom made cracker jack for the kids and put on a movie for them.   Marcus and I ran to the grocery store to get some snacks for the flight home.  I spent the rest of the night packing and making sure we had everything.

July 10th

Asher and I had a lazy morning before heading down to Connie's to pick the kids up.  We went to Zupa's for lunch with Connie and Heather and her kids.  Then we all went to White Towers pool along with my mom and Erin and her kids.  This was our last day seeing Heather and Erin and all their kids.  It was sad saying good bye at the pool knowing it might be another year before we see them again.

Asher was loving Kortney while we were at the pool, he didn't have any interest in swimming but just hanging out with her and Nana.

We played games at Connie's for a little bit and then headed back to my parents house.  We played in the backyard and enjoyed playing made up games.

July 9th

Leila had been dying to go to a water park but she was insistent that we find one that she would be allowed to go down the slides by herself (she's always too short).  We decided to go to Cowabunga Bay with Connie, Heather, Sean and their kids.  I had looked up water parks and this one seemed like it had the most slides that Leila would be able to do on her own.  It ended up being perfect, she could go down every single one and Grey could too (he was actually a hair too short but they weren't being picky).  They had a fun little kids area, fun slides, a pool and lazy river and the water was so warm.  We had a super fun day there.

We hung out at Connie's the rest of the evening and then Leila, Grey, Mylee and Mari all got to have a sleep over at Connie's house.

July 8th

My kids were dying to go out on my parents boat.  We went to Utah lake and ended up having really nice weather, it was hot but not windy and the lake was smooth.  Leila and Grey both did the ski trainer and then Leila tried really hard to get up on the snoopy skies.  Marcus sat in the water with her for a long time trying to get her up, she was so close so probably next year.

After the lake Leila got to go have another sleep over with Mari and Mylee and Grey was going to have a sleep over with Logan but after going to Logan's house got a little nervous so both the boys ended up coming back to Nana's house for a sleep over.  My mom, dad, me, Marcus and Asher went out to dinner at Cafe Rio.  After dinner the kids played in the back yard and we did some fireworks.

July 7th

On Monday the 7th I got to see my good friend Kara and her kids,  she was so sweet to squeeze us in before she left for girls camp the next day (she was the camp director), I know she was super stressed and had about a million things to do.  We met at the park and the kids played for a bit but it was hot so we headed to Leatherby's for a giant ice cream sundae and cheese fries.  My kids thought it was so cool that they got ice cream for lunch.  I'm so happy I got to see Kara, Mia and June!

After lunch I went shopping at the Mall with my mom, there were a few store like Downeast that I needed to to get some stuff from.  After that we met Sean, Heather and kids at White Towers for Family night.  The kids swam and jumped off the diving boards for several hours.  Then we went to Rita's again for more Italian Ice.  We had multiple meltdowns that night because my kids were exhausted, way too many late nights and busy days.

July 6th

We went to church with my parents Sunday morning and my kids all happily went to nursery and primary (they usually have a hard time going at an unfamiliar ward).  That afternoon Leslie invited us out to her house for dinner.  We finally got to see their new house!  That evening we played outside in my parents backyard.
I had to include this picture because we were walking to church.  My kids were so shocked that we didn't have to drive they couldn't believe my parent lived so close.  When I told them most people in Utah live very close to their church building they were totally amazed and then started noticing all the buildings as we drove around town.

July 5th- Midway

Saturday we went to Midway for the day with my parents.  We invited Connie to go with us.  We spent most of the day relaxing around the house, playing outside, playing in the hot tub, eating food and roasting marshmallows.  I love Midway because it is slightly cooler than SLC and I love the fresh mountain air and beautiful views.
