The Friday before Valentine's day my cute friend Erica hosted a Valentine's day party for the kids. It was lots of fun and really crazy. I think there were 11 moms and 23 kids at the party.
The kids played Valentine's day Bingo which came from my friend Emily's website and can be found
here And then they frosted cookies and handed out Valentine's.
We made a lot of heart shaped pancakes during the month of February and Leila loves adding chocolate chips to the pancake mix.
Leila chose to give out pop rocks with a note that said, "You Rock!"
On Valentine's night I made yummy romantic dinner for the entire family complete with chocolate covered strawberries and "love potion"
One day Greydon filled up the sink with water and jumped in pajamas and all. Some things I love about this little boy:
He is the sweetest boy and loves to come in my room and get in bed with me and cuddle
He loves Monster's Inc and asks to watch it every single day
I love the way he says truck, makes me laugh
I love when he plays sleeping beauty and gives me lots of kisses
He loves Leila and is always trying to do what she is doing
I love his voice, its so fun to listen to him talk. Some lady at target told me he has the most soothing voice and she could listen to it all day, and I totally agree
I love listening to him say his prays and say the articles of faith. (He usually thanks Heavenly Father for his binky and ask him to bless Tinkerbell or other random characters)
This cute baby is growing up faster then I would like. I can't believe how big he is getting. I just love his squishy checks and how quickly he smiles. I don't love that he likes to eat like every 2 1/2 hours at night, especially since he was sleeping through the night and now I'm up with him all the time.
Leila is becoming so grown up, she is learning and doing so many new things. She has become quite the little reader and just absorbs so much. She finally learned to ride her bike without training wheels. I took the training wheels off, gave her a push and she just took off. She helps me out a ton around the house, like today she folded a basket of laundry and cleaned the toilet and mirrors in the bathrooms. I love having her around and always reminding me to be patient. I've really been looking forward to her starting kindergarten but lately it makes me a little sad that she is going to be gone everyday for a couple of hours.
One night we got together with some of our friends for a fondue night and it was absolutely delicious
And last but certainly not least Paul matched at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines Iowa in general surgery. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work and now his dream of being a surgeon is really happening! We had a really hard time deciding which place to rank 1st and went back and forth between Des Moines and Dayton. But ultimately Des Moines seemed to be the best fit for us and we are so happy to be going there. I am a little disappointed we are not going to Dayton because to of my good friends matched in Dayton but I think it all worked out the way it was suppose to. We need to be in Iowa by the middle of June so we will probably be moving sometime at the beginning of the month. Now we are busy trying to figure the move and finding a house, it all stresses me out but I'm sure it will all work out.
