Lake Powell again

We had so much fun in Lake Powell this past weekend. Leila and I flew to Salt Lake on Tuesday, it was so nice not to drive but the airline lost my luggage for a time, I was really worried because we were leaving the next day for Lake Powell and since I am pregnant it's not like I can just borrow a bunch of clothes from sisters or friends. Luckily they found my luggage by that evening and I got a credit for my next flight. We had a really random assortment of people on this trip. Leila and I drove down with Paul's mom, while following my mom, sister Erin, her husband Chad and baby Logan and their friends Tristen and Ryan. The next day my dad, Sarah (a girl that works with my dad) and her two friends Bryan and Scott came. And finally really late on Thursday Paul showed up with Sharla and Chad (Paul and Sharla are in school together). Even with all the people that didn't really know each other everyone got along really well and we had a lot of fun. The weather was gorgeous, nice and warm during the day and cool at night. Somehow the majority of the group ended up sitting on the back of the boat as we headed back to the houseboat, I love Leila and Bryan's faces in this picture
Paul jumping off a super high cliff
Leila swimming with Erin
This is pretty much what I did the entire trip, just relaxing on the boat. I did try wake surfing, two months ago I was able to do it so I figured I could do it again, well I could get up but my balance was so off I couldn't stay up very long
A bunch of the group contemplating whether or not they wanted to jump, in the end they all did
Cute Logan on the boat, he usually fell asleep as soon as the boat started moving
Leila with Paul's mom, Leila loves Lake Powell and was so good on the trip. She slept every night cuddled up with Connie

What she has been up to

Leila loves helping me cook, well she loves helping me with anything I am doing
Playing dress-ups, she turned her chef hat into a bonnet
This little girl loves to be naked, she is probably naked or only has underwear on about 80% of the time, I guess the heat here is just too much for her
This is not what it looks like, it is actually melted chocolate chips. I put Leila down for a nap and a few minutes later I heard noise upstairs, I found her walking around eating a bowl of chocolate chips (the bowl was from another day when Paul gave her chocolate chips and she didn't finish them and she found them in her room). I took the bowl away and put it on the desk in the hall and told her to go back to her bed, she said she didn't want to sleep in her room but in the guest room. I told her wherever as long as she slept. I left and didn't hear from her, when I went to get her up from her nap this is what I found. She had snuck back out and grabbed the chocolate chips off the desk and taken them back to bed with her. What a little stinker!
Leila's first day of preschool. There are a couple ladies in our ward that have put together a little preschool for our children, we each teach one week ever couple of weeks. There are only four kids and they go twice a week for two hours. Leila loves it and has so much fun with the other kids. I love having the break and being able to get some stuff done without my little helper.

The zoo!

I forgot to post pictures of our trip to Hogle Zoo when Leila and I went to Utah over Labor Day weekend. We went to the zoo with my mom, my sister and her little boy Logan. It was fun to see all the new baby animals and the weather was so nice while we were there. Leila's favorite thing was the small animal and reptile house, I think it was her favorite because all the animals were right on her level and super active, she tells me her favorite thing to see was the Meerkats.

Another Utah Trip

Leila and I headed to Utah over Labor Day weekend while Paul stayed home and studied for his block week. We did some shopping and hung out with friends and family, it was a great weekend. We hiked down in the gully with Paul's mom and then played in the creek, I of course forgot Leila's swimsuit so again she is playing in the buff
Leila is so use to the hot Las Vegas weather that she was constantly complaining of being cold while in Utah, she needed socks because her feet were freezing
Playing with her cute cousin Logan

Tea Party

We started a "Big Girl" chart with Leila awhile back because she can do a lot of things on her own but refuses to do them without me standing right by her, she won't let me help she just wants me by her side. So I decided to start the chart and it worked wonders she will most things on her own now. We told her when she got her chart all filled up we would take her to the Disney store and she could pick out a prize. She wandered through the store for quite awhile picked up a lot of toys but finally decided on a tea set. She loves have tea parties with her dolls and her favorite thing to do is fill the cups with chocolate chips.
