I planned a little April Fools joke for my kids, I made jello in cups with straws so at dinner time they thought they were getting juice, they quickly realized it was jello and we all had a good laugh.
Captured a moment where they were all playing together AND getting along.
We had a random hot day, and when I say hot I mean like 80 degrees, I thought it felt great but the kids insisted they needed to be in their swim suits playing in the water. We have a great cul de sac and kids are always out playing.
My mom came to visit on April 12th, she got in late Saturday night and the kids were so surprised to see her Sunday morning (we had kept it a secret). Sunday she went to church with us and then we came home and watched Frozen and just had a relaxing day.
On Monday we ran to Costco, the Mall and a few other stores and then took Leila to gymnastics that night.
My mom bought Asher some new clothes and he insisted on trying them all on at the same time.
On Tuesday we ran to the grocery store and then picked Leila up early from school. We went to the Playground to play on the bounce houses and tree house. My mom then took Leila to shop for some new sandals. That night we made dinner for the missionaries but had to just send them with their food because Paul didn't make it home in time.
On Wednesday my mom took Greydon to the library and shopping and then played t-ball with him. Then she took Leila to gymnastics.
On Thursday I took Greydon to his Special Olympics play day and my mom took Asher shopping and out for lunch. We went to gymnastics that evening and then ran some errands.
On Friday we worked on some projects around the house and then dyed Easter eggs. The kids had a movie night with Grandma while Paul and I went out to dinner.
We had a great visit with my mom and we miss her like crazy. She headed home early Saturday morning.
That same morning we had a breakfast and Easter egg hunt at the park with lots of our friends.
Sunday morning the kids found their Easter baskets and then we headed off to church.
It is so hard to get a decent photo of all the kids smiling and looking at the camera. And if you notice Leila has really pink cheeks. She had something called fifths disease, its not serious but causes a rash on her face and legs and arms, once the rash appears its not contagious. Pretty much everyone in her school class ended up with it.
After church I let the kids play in the bath tub with the bath slime they received from Nini. They were a little freaked out by it at first but then loved it.
