Poor Baby

Poor little thing, so we were driving home from Lake Powell and Leila started rubbing her eye and saying "eye, eye" over and over again and whinning about it, so we checked her over and cleaned her eyes out, when we went out in the car again she started doing the same thing but crying more about it, her eye was red and watery, especially when we were in the sun, so we drove straight to the the instacare, I suspected an abraision on her eye (I had the same thing happen to me in Lake Powell several years ago). Which is exactly what is was, she had to have goopy drops in her eyes every four hours for five day and wear a patch over her eye, the eye heals when it is closed. She surprised me and did not even try to pull the patch off, the crying pictures are not because of the patch but because she did not want me to take her picture. My poor baby I hope her eye heals fast.

Lake Powell

We had quite an eventful few days in Lake Powell. We left on Wednesday morning and before we even got around the point of the mountain Leila threw up. I thought maybe she got car sick, but I was wrong, she threw up another 4 times before we reached our destination and dealing with a sick kid in a car is not fun. So we arrived and got our camp set up and Leila seemed to be doing much better, didn't even act like she was sick which was such a relief. So the first night it was super hot and Paul could not sleep because of the heat, which kept waking me up and then to top it off our air mattress went flat so we were sleeping on the hard ground. We had a lot of fun on Thursday wake boarding and surfing. On Friday I woke up with the stomach flu which is aweful to have let alone while you are camping in 100 degree weather, I was so sick but it was too hot to lay in my tent so I just layed on a rocking boat, in the mean time Paul landed the back roll, way to go babe! and I missed it cause I was asleep. I started to feel better that afternoon just in time for Paul to start feeling aweful, so he was sick that evening and night and then my future brother in law Jason got sick on Saturday. Other than the sickness we had a great time, we had great weather, caught a lot of fish, the boys landed a lot of wake boarding tricks, spent hours surfing, swimming and building giant fires. Leila did not want to get in the water but loved going on the tube she could have spent hours on it, when we asked if she wanted to stop she would yell no.

Fireworks

We went to the Bees game with the Phillips family and then afterwards were able to go down onto the field to watch fireworks, at first Leila was not so sure of the fireworks but she quickly changed her mind and decided they were very exciting.

Yeah Boating!

We went to Utah Lake with my family for the first boating trip of the year. As you can tell from the sweatshirts it was chilly out. Although Leila doesn't look like she is having much fun she actually did and I was surprised she was ok with wearing her life jacket.

"Cheese"

We finally captured a smile!

Garden of Eden

Cohen was so excited to be surrounded by two adorable ladies. And it is kind of funny how much Leila and Preslee look alike
Leila was sharing lots of love with all of her friends
I am trying to get caught up on my posts. We went to Eden with Paul's friends from high school, their wives and some of the kiddies. We stayed in a beautiful house that Colin and Kara hooked us up with, it had enough rooms for each couple to have their own. The boys paintballed and the girls went out to lunch, we hot tubbed, played games and had a ton of fun together. I didn't get many pictures but here are a couple that I took, most of them are of Leila.

Fun Times

The last two weeks have been pretty busy. I love being able to stay at home with Leila and it is extra fun to have Paul home too. We have been trying to get our house packed up and every thing worked out so we will be able to move at the end of July. Actually we are moving all of our stuff down to Vegas on June 25th and then we will be staying at our parents house until after Leslie and Jason get married in July. Paul wants to leave soon after the wedding to get down there and settled but I would rather head down on July 25th. So Paul will probably drive down when he wants and I will fly down with Leila a week later. We have stopped to do some fun things. We took Leila to the zoo and although you cannot tell from the pictures she did have a lot of fun. We went to some soccer games, the pool, out to dinner and Leila was invited to her very first friend birthday party.
Leila at the zoo, she loved the gorillas and tiger.
Leila at a soccer game wth mommy's sunglasses
Leila loves to take showers, the minute she hears water going she runs for the bathroom and tries to take her clothes off, she took a shower with me but then refused to get out
We went to dinner with Paul's mom and Leila found her purse, she had to walk out of the restaurant with it on her shoulder and then refused to give it back when it was time to go, Leila had a 30 minute tantrum when I finally had to rip it from her hands.
Our house got really quit and Leila was no where to be found so I went looking and this is what I found, Leila had unloaded her entire toy box and her dresser
Leila at Jenn's neices birhtday party. Leila had so much fun fishing in the pond and going through the obstacle course. Every time I turned around she was eating a cupcake. Jenn's sister and brother-in -law did such a good job with the party probably one of the best birthday parties I have ever been to.
