Christmas!

Sledding

We went sledding yesterday with Paul's dad and his family. We took Leila and she had a lot of fun. It was freezing so we didn't stay out long but long enough to have tons of fun. We bundled Leila up, she looked like the little boy in the movie, "A Christmas Story", every time she would walk she would take a few steps and then fall, it was way cute.

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was so great to spend time with family. We have been so blessed with great parents and brothers and sisters. We spent Christmas eve with Paul's entire extended family, it was so much fun. Santa showed up at the party, the minute he walked in the room Leila started crying it took forever to get her to calm down. She got the cutest pajamas from her Nene they were snowman pj's with pink slippers. We got up Christmas morning and went to Paul's mom's house to open presents, then on to my parent's house and then finished up the day at Paul's dad's house. It was busy but lots of fun and we were all spoiled especially Leila. She loved all of her toys but really loved her cousin Tamari's toys. Tamari got a dressup box and Leila loved it she was trying to put on all of the dress ups. Tamari also got a trike which of course Leila wanted to ride. Tamari was riding it around and there was a little platform on the back so we put Leila on it and Tamari took her for rides around the house. We had a great day.

Busy week

This week has been so busy. First off I had jury duty, they have you call the night before to find out if you have to go down to the court house. I did not have to go down on Monday but had to go down on Tuesday which I was way upset about because a couple of weeks earlier I had scheduled massages for Paul and I on Tuesday. Paul got to go get his massage but I spent the morning at the court house. I sat in a room for about two hours until they came in and said that all the cases had settled and that we could go home. I was so glad because the case we were being picked for was a child sexual abuse case, I don't think I could have handled it, plus the judge said it was a pretty horrific case and he was glad it did not have to go to trial. On Monday we made gingerbread houses with my family, it was lots of fun, Leila enjoyed snacking on the candy and treats. Work was also very busy I am so glad the week is finally over and I can enjoy the holiday season.

Santa is sooo scary

I took Leila to visit Santa at the South Towne Mall. Lately she has been so scared of strangers and such a mama's girl, so I figured she might get a little upset. She freaked out, she wanted nothing to do with him. While we were waiting for our pictures to be developed she kept her eye on Santa and a tight fist on my shirt.

Christmas time

We dressed Leila up in her new Christmas dress. She is so short that the dress almost hits the floor. But she loved playing in the dress and being all girly.

I love my baby

I swear I loved her like a billion times when she was born and now she is ten months old and I love her like a billlion times more than when she was born. It is so fun to see how she grows and changes each day. She learns new things all the time, it just amazes me. I love to see her mimick, I think it is so cute to get her to do something. When I watched her learn to walk it was crazy, each day she got better and better at it and her confidence grew. I love being a mom, its crazy hard but so much fun.
