More pictures of the kids playing in the bath
On Tuesday I met up with one of my favorite friends! When we get together its like no time has passed other than our kids getting older. And even though we are hundreds of miles away we can just pick right up where we left off and so can our kids, they always get along so well. I'm so glad one of Paul's best friends married Kara so that she could become one of my best friends! We met Kara, Mia and June at the park for lunch and then Kara took Greydon and Leila to her house to play.
So Mia is only 6 months older than Leila and June is only 4 months older than Grey. Kara's kids definitely have some inches on mine. I guess its mother like daughter.
That evening My friend Ashley took pictures of the kids
On Wednesday I ran a bunch of errands and then took Leila to Mia's birthday party. They were so nice to invite her and she had so much fun.
That evening I went out for Sushi with Leslie, Jason and Marcus. The kids were with Nene while I was at dinner.
Leila, Greydon, Mari and Mylee all at a sleep over that night at Nene's house.
I'm a little surprised they got any sleep, because when I left that night they were pretty wild.
We hung out at Connie's house Thursday morning and then we went to Clinton to visit my friend Emily and her new little baby. It was so good to see Emily and just let the kids play while we chatted. We didn't try and get a picture until we were leaving and by that point none of the children would cooperate. So its just Leila and Addy.
Thursday evening Leila got to have another sleep over at Mari's house. Me, Greydon and Asher hung out at Connie's house. On Friday Leila played all morning with Mari and even went to the library. I dropped Greydon off to play with his cousin Logan and then Asher and I went to visit my friend Melissa in Stansbury Park. Melissa lived in Henderson and was in our ward during our first two years of med school. She then moved to Dayton Ohio for residency, they are the family Paul stayed with while auditioning during his 4th year. I even got to stay week with them while I was out there. They are now done with residency and are back in Utah. Its so fun having so many friends move back to Utah, now when I visit Utah I get to see them too.
Friday afternoon we went to the aquarium with Heather, Mari, Mylee, Ezrie, and Connie. But I didn't take a single picture while we were there. Afterwards we headed over to WinCo to pick some treats out of their bulk bins. I sure do miss shopping at WinCo. Then we just played in Connie's back yard all evening.
Saturday I spent a bunch of the morning packing. We then went with Connie to put flowers on Ariane's grave. They still don't have the headstone on but hopefully by October they will have it. Connie did such a good job picking a headstone out, I saw pictures and it looks beautiful, I can't wait to see it when we make it back to Utah.
We spent a little more time with Connie before she had to get a nap before going to work. And then stopped by Sean and Heather's to say goodbye.
After the boys had naps the kids and my mom met my sister Erin and her family at the splash park. The kids played in the water and on the playground. It was super hot that evening but the water was really cold.
We had a barbecue with my parents and then spent the rest of the night packing so that we could kit the road by 6 am the next morning. It is so hard saying good bye, I hate it. Especially since we probably won't be in Utah for another year.
The kids were pretty good on the drive home. We were making great time until we hit a bunch of construction in Nebraska. The drive definitely didn't go as smooth as the drive to Utah but it still wasn't bad. Right before we got to Lincoln Nebraska, which is about 3 hours from home, we hit some major construction and were only going about 10 mph if we were moving at all. That part was awful, the kids were hungry and wanting dinner, they were sick of being in the car and they wouldn't stop fighting.
All three kids crying at the same time and there was nothing I could do. And then they were getting more upset because they were annoyed by each others cries, it was awesome, I just turned up the music and tried to ignore. Once we got through the construction, got some dinner and a little break outside the car, it was smooth sailing. They all fell asleep for the last three hours! We made it home around 11 pm, it took us about 16 hours. So glad I don't have to that drive for a very long time :)
