potty training

Back in August Asher decided he no longer wanted to wear diapers.  He got the pee business down pretty quick but pooping was a whole other story.  He would sit for hours on the potty and never go and then jump up and run around and poop in his pants about five minutes later. It was beyond frustrating.  We did sticker charts, rewards, constant reminders any thing we could think of.  I had promised him that if he pooped in the potty just once I would take him out for ice cream.  He finally did and out for ice cream we went, he was pretty sweet about it because he wanted Leila and Grey to come to.  I thought once he pooped in the potty we would turn a corner but nope we had four months of cleaning up poopy pants.  And then one day it just clicked, and poopy underwear were a thing of the past.   I don't think in August he was ready for the whole potty training business but since he initiated it we just went with it.   I'm just glad the four months of potty training are over.
