The end of July me and the kids headed up to Utah to spend sometime with family and then go to Lake Powell. My friend Jamie and her little girl Grace drove with us and it was really nice to have an extra set of hands, plus all the kids did really well. We stayed at Paul's moms house and spent most of our time with her since we would be going to Lake Powell for a week with my family. Some things I love about staying with Connie are sleeping in her cold dark basement, staying up late with her watching SYTYCD and when she makes me yummy breakfast in the morning (not that I need her to make me breakfast its just nice not to have to do it). We were super busy every day with activities and the kids were worn out at the end of each day. I tried to plan to go to the zoo but Leila was insistent on going to Discovery Gateway instead, so that is where we ended up. Greydon is finally old enough to enjoy some of the stuff at the museum. He loved the little kids area where he could crawl all around and climb on everything.
I stood him up to the water stuff and he loved it, he probably played for a good 30 minutes in the water and would have gone longer but I was tired of standing there and wanted to move on. It was nice because it wasn't very crowded around the water so I didn't have to worry about him getting knocked over
Before we left we stopped and played with the balls and I am pretty sure Greydon was trying to say ball, everytime we handed him a ball he would yell out, "bah bah"
This is the only picture I have of Leila, she was so busy and all over the place. Plus I have a ton of picture of her at the museum because we go there about every visit to Utah
After the museum we stopped at the fountains to run through them. I'm not sure Leila ever stopped running, she was constantly moving but she loved every second of it. She really loved it when the fountain show started and she got blasted with water, not even a slip on the ground would stop her.
The next day we went to the wild west park with Sean, Heather, Tamari and Mylee. We stayed for about an hour and then it just got too hot so we went back to Connie's house for a BBQ and then swimming atWhite Towers. I didn't get a single picture of us swimming but it was so much fun. Leila and Mari jumped off the diving board about hundred times and swam forever doing tricks, flips and hand stands in the water.
After swimming Leila and Greydon rode home in the wagon and Greydon crashed out. Leila was so sweet, she held onto Greydon both going and coming home from the pool so he wouldn't fall out of the wagon
