2nd week in Utah

I think the kids took bubble baths every morning in my parents bath, it has jets so if there is just a little bit of soap in the water you get tons of bubbles.

Sunday and Monday were spent watching TV and movies and just praying that Leila would get better and nobody else would get the yucky stomach bug.

The boys loved helping in the yard.  Asher was a little too eager  and always ended up pulling out flowers instead of weeds.  Greydon found lots of bugs.

On Tuesday we met up with my friends from high school (really from my childhood because we met way before high school).  We went swimming at April's parents house.

That evening I met Allyson, my friend from Henderson and running buddy, for dinner.  It was so fun to catch up with her but I'm bummed I forgot to get a picture of us together.  The kids got to play at Connie's and their cousins house while I went to dinner.  When I got back we went to see all the 24th of July parade floats on display.

On Wednesday we headed to St. George with Connie, Sean, Heather, Mari, Mylee, and Ezrie.   All the kids wanted to swim as soon as we got to the hotel.

Still smiling after another road trip!

That evening we had tickets to see Mary Poppins at Tuacahn.  I enjoyed the show and the kids liked it but by the second act they were tired (it was super late) and a little bored.  Since it was the 24th of July they had a fireworks show after the performance.  The show was amazing, the fireworks were right over head and set off to awesome music.

The next morning Asher started throwing up, if vomit isn't bad enough, throw in being on vacation in a hotel and no easy access to laundry.  Luckily it was only a couple times in the morning.  Unfortunately he threw up about every day just once or twice for an entire week.
Finally able to get some laundry done.

We headed over to a little splash park in St. George.  The kids had a blast plus they were just so happy to be with their cousins.

Tamari, Mylee, Leila, Asher and Grey

Leila started being really grumpy so I told everyone to show me their grumpiest faces.  Pretty soon Leila was laughing but not before she showed me her grumpiest face.

I see this face from her a lot, we now have a rule that if she makes this face at me she is sent to her bedroom, no warnings.

They had a DJ playing music and Mylee and Greydon  let loose on the dance patio.

We headed to the pool at the hotel after the splash park.
On Friday we decided to hike to some lava caves.  It was really hot on the hike but once we got inside the dark cave it was about 50 degrees cooler.

Asher is so little that he still fits in my front carrier.

It was a super fun vacation with Paul's family, too bad he couldn't be there with us.  And unfortunately we passed our yucky stomach bug onto Connie and Sean's family.  Saturday morning everyone left but me and the kids stayed in St. George for one more night since we were going to Lake Powell the next day.  We went shopping at the outlets and played in the hotel pool.  I also had to try Swig and check out their cookies and dirty Dr. Pepper.  The cookies were yummy but the copycat recipe floating around on pinterest is just as yummy and I only thought the dirty Dr. Pepper was OK.  I tend to like the dirty Dr. Pepper I can get at the gas station near my house a lot better.
