2. I know I've talked about this before but this winter has been awful. Soooo cold! Its sad when my kids think temperatures in the teens are warm and coats are optional. Spring can't come soon enough!
We had a couple days where we were actually in the 40's, the kids got to play in the snow and play outside with some of the neighbor kids who we haven't seen in months because we are all hiding indoors.
3. The kids all had nasty colds recently, were talking they were coughing so hard they vomited nasty colds. Leila missed two days of school and was pretty miserable. All the sickness meant I had to reschedule parent teacher conferences and cancel visiting teaching. Now every one's healthy again and thankfully I never got the cold.
4. Speaking of parent teacher conferences, both Leila and Greydon are doing great. I was surprised to hear that Greydon has turned into a little chatter box, he's not being disruptive but he always has something to say. At the last parent teacher conference his teacher said he was pretty quiet but I guess in the last couple of months he has come out of his shell.
5. The boys went to the dentist recently, they were literally counting down the days until their appointment. They love the dentist and think it is so fun. Asher's teeth are great, Greydon on the other hand has a couple of cavities that need to be fixed.
6. Paul's schedule really hasn't been bad lately. He was on Trauma last month and by some miracle it was incredibly easy. I guess with the frigid temperatures nobody goes anywhere which in turn means nobody is out doing stupid things that land them in the hospital. And again by some miracle Paul has the first three weekends of March off. It's been nice to have him around so much especially when he can help pick Leila up from gymnastics.
7. Gymnastics.....I love that Leila is doing something active, she is working on goals and puts in so much focus and hard work. She truly loves doing it! We are so proud of her and all her accomplishments. But gymnastics is also very time consuming, lots of hours, lots of work, lots of driving, and lots of money. You can tell I have mixed feelings about it but in the end its a good thing. We have to make a lot of sacrifices for her to participate but we feel like it is important and we really want to give her a chance to develop this skill and talent.
8. We have survived the cold with lots of playdates. Last Saturday we headed to West Des Moines with the Spjuts. We did some shopping, playing in the indoor playground and eating lunch. It was a fun afternoon although by the end the boys were done with any kind of shopping. Leila's fun now because she actually enjoys shopping and looking at shoes and clothes.
9. We also fill our time with crafts. This time it was painting with pudding. Asher mostly ate or globbed pudding onto his paper.
So that pretty much sums up our February!

Looks like a fun month! Can't believe how big the kids are looking. Miss you guys!
Leila is starting to look older - such a cutie. The boys continue to look just like each other - they're adorable.
I am glad it's warming up for you and the kids are on the mend and especially glad it stayed away from you.
Great to catch up via your blog:)
