Disneyland Day 1

Paul had the  month of December off for his one vacation month this year.  We decided we wanted to take a trip and since we live so close to California we thought Disneyland would be a great choice.  We invited Paul's sister to go with us and it was so great to have her.  We drove to California on Monday and then got up early on Tuesday and picked Ariane up at the airport and headed straight to Disneyland.  We had the most beautiful weather.  It was sunny and warm during the day and then jacket weather at night, so nice.  The park wasn't very crowded so we were abel to do a lot each day.  We took advantage of fast passes and rider exchange passes wo we didn't do a lot of waiting around.  We usually spent time going on rides Leila wanted to go on while waiting for our fast pass ride times. It was also great having Ariane there to help us with the kids and have someone to switch off with for the adult rides.

On the first day we headed straight for Fantasyland and spent a bunch of time there.  We rode Dumbo first per Leila's request and then the teacups.  Leila says her favorite rides are Teacups and Dumbo and I think she rode each one about 8 times the whole trip.

Greydon loved Dumbo too as long as we didn't move the elephant up and down too fast.
I love the Teacups too so I had no problem riding them with Leila but most of the time she just wanted to ride with Ariane, thank goodness Ariane was a good sport and didn't mind going on them.
We loved It's A Small World!  It was so cool all decorated for Christmas, we talked to one of the workers that said it took them over two weeks to get the ride all ready for Christmas. And at night time the ride had so many lights on the outside of it, it was amazing.
We of course had to go and meet princess's at the princess castle.  I think Leila could have just spent the whole trip meeting princesses and would have been happy.  That is pretty much all she asked to do.  Luckily the lines were never too long so we were able to meet them several times.  I think she has met Cinderella, Aurora and Jasmine the most, they were always the easiest to find.

We were so busy riding rides the rest of the afternoon that I barely pulled my camera out.  I think my favorite ride is Space Mountain,  I love being in the dark and not being able to tell which way your going, I of course had to ride that several times.  Later that night we watched the parade down mainstreet and then rode a bunch of adult rides while the kids slept in the strollers.  Ariane had a Disney credit card and is able to get us two free strollers each day.  I loved having the stollers, they were so convienent and the best part was not having to haul it on the shuttle.  We watched the fireworks at the end of the night and then headed back to our hotel.

This  picture is out of order but I can't get it to move.  Leila loved driving the car although she was a crazy driver and had us all over the road!
