Maunawili Falls & Lanikai beach day 3

On our 3rd day in Hawaii we decided to go on a hike.  Rachele and Jordan took us to Maunawili Falls, it was a bit of a drive to get there but I enjoyed the beautiful scenery.  I loved hiking through the jungle and Paul kept us at a pretty good pace so it was a nice workout too.

 Once we got to the falls Paul decided to jump off the cliffs right away.  There were three different levels, a decent cliff, a really high cliff and a crazy to jump off cliff, he went off all three several times.  He did say the 2nd highest was the most scary because it was more dangerous to get to the jump point.  I went of the little cliff and it was still scary for me.  I'm not afraid of heights but jumping off things is just not that much fun. 

After the hike we went to the nearest beach which was Lanikai beach.  I guess it is ranked in the top ten most beautiful beaches.  It was very pretty but I was a little surprised that it was ranked so high.  Plus it was super windy and the water was pretty murky so that may have effected my opinion.  We tried snorkeling but there wasn't much to see plus I was having a hard time breathing through the snorkel.  I mostly enjoyed laying on the beach and reading my book, it was so relaxing.

  That night we hit up Ted's Bakery, the burger and Mahi Mahi sandwich were amazing and so was the chocolate Haupia cream pie and the carrot cake.
